in L’elite of Pays-de-la-Loire this season there were two teams Vertou Basketballladies and men.
The Vertaviennes concluded in a very nice way with a one-point victory (58-57) on the floor of Crossac, securing third place at the Prenational Championship, synonymous with rise to National 3 ! A level they haven’t reached in 10 years.
“Long and hard season”
It was a long and tiring season in a very homogeneous championship in which you had to sell your skin dearly every weekend. Our group managed to remobilize after complicated preparations to keep the top 4, week after week. Despite the often irregular matches, sometimes very close, the team always showed a lot of character to get the energy needed to win.
She even finishes second best attack (+152) with 17 wins.
“We have always wanted to offer intense and advanced basketball, confirms the coach. Gradually, the girls adopted the game project and the expected state of mind. Boys 5th Prénational
Theirs male partners, winners during the trip to CSSG Le Mans (84-76), thus securing fifth place ensuring their stay in the Prénational. They will be joined there next season by their colleagues from Lower Goulaine Basketball Clubwho finished first in Regional 2.
